後綴 -agra = Pain in some part of the body
A few medical terms contain this ending. The most common are podagra (Greek pous, pod-, the foot), gout of the foot, especially of the big toe, and pellagra (via Italian from Latin pellis, skin, on the pattern of podagra), a vitamin deficiency disease. Rarer terms from the same source include rachisagra, gout affecting the vertebral column (Latin rachis, vertebral column or spinal cord); coxagra, pain in the hip (Latin coxa, hip); and chiragra, a pain in the hand (Greek cheir, hand).
